How we came to
the Rhodesian Ridgeback: At a coincidental telephone call with a Ridgeback owner Christine has got aware of the Rhodesian Ridgeback and has started to stock up on literature. We were invited to a walk into Tyrol after we remained further with the Rhodesian Ridgeback owner in contact. We got to know the bitch in her nature and behavior: It must be a Ridgeback! |

| We also looked at a fully-grown male which didn't live with his owner far away. From this time we knew it should be a male.We looked at a cultivation place in Austria also. At the same time Dr. Vogelsinger Katia had a throw, all pups, however, were already allocated. She arranged us to adjacent Switzerland. Short time later we called at Schönholzer Yvonne and asked on visit whether we may come, we would be interested in a Rhodesian Ridgeback. We still had plenty of time we only wanted to inform us, i.e. nothing rush, to prepare for the service of an Rhodesian ridgeback. We liked the dogs of Mrs. Schönholzer very much. We got to know the 9 then years of old Hanouk, Adjany with 6 1/2 year and Lwezah even 2 years old. In summer 2001 it was, were wewas on holiday and saw on the island of Sylt and in Copenhagen some Ridgebacks. We could wait hardly to have our own Rhodesian Ridgeback. At the return journey in Denmark we called Schönholzer Yvonne and heard that Mashabas Lwezah had thrown seven healthy pups on 8-10-2001. And right in the midst of them our "Ortezo". The smallest but most impudent male of the whole pack of hounds. We went a few times to him to pursue the development. The careful type had for us impressed particularly of the mother Lwezah. She has so patiently and maternally handled her pups. We could take Ortezo finally with home in the middle of October. For us he is a reliable and faithful companion on all our ways time. |
